Issue with selling
If you buy stuff to sell, make stuff, sell items “new” or have reached sales of £15k then Amazon regard you as a business - accountants, staff etc are immaterial.

You’ll have to register as a business and provide Amazon with your tax reference if you want to sell in their platform. You need to register with HMRC who will send you a letter with a UTR (unique Tax Reference number) which Amazon will want to see. Make sure you register so if Amazon ask for utility bill and bank statement then all the names and addresses match exactly. You can call your business Joe Bloggs or whatever your bank statement states.
You are a business if you buy an item with the sole purpose of reselling for profit. It amazes me that because you do it part time you think you don't have to pay any taxes like a 'real business. Nice one Amazon. I glad to hear that they are taking a stance. You need to go legit and pay your taxes. No difference between you and Lewis Hamilton.

Thanks!
